Why are we bored?

We are bored because we discriminate, because we

expect entertainment. Ultimately, we are bored because

we concentrate our attention on the contents of

consciousness, rather that on awareness itself.

The expectator is the show. Look not at the stage, but

watch he who watch.

If this sounds like duality, ask yourself, Am I ever

bored? If the answer is yes, then you live in duality

and declaring a premature understanding of unity,

won't take you out of it. True unity is not an

understanding, but a way of seeing and being.

Hoping and worrying keep you occupied while you're waiting for

something to happen. :-)

I don't accept your definitions, Pete.

Boredom isn't bad, wrong, or out of place.

Nothing is out of place.

There is no division between awareness

and contents of awareness.

There is no division between someone watching

and the show being watched.

There aren't people living in duality and

other people living in nonduality.

Duality is nonduality, known as such when

there is not a consideration that someone with

its own self-existence can be in it, or

out of it.

Samsara is nirvana, the relative is not

apart in any way from the absolute.

Blessings and peace to all ducks and riverspirits,

Dan

Who's bored?

Conjecture on the nature of boredom:

Boredom is lack of inspiration.

Inspiration is the inflow of spirit.

When the spirit is stifled stagnation sets in.

Such is boredom, or even depression.

The opposite of boredom is freedom and

openness. The opposite of boredom is

vitality and life.

******** Separate identity and *suffering* are one and the same thing.

Chew on that by yourself for a while. That's " understanding " my friend.

I understand you are right about identity and

suffering, but it has to go much deeper that mere

understanding or it won't do jack. Some egos feed on

Intellectually understanding this kind of concepts,

like rats getting fatter with poison.

But thanks for the good advise anyway.

No inside, no outside.

No up, no down.

No boundary in What Is.

There is no choice.

Who has choice?

It is called non-action.

No-body, no-choice, no-action

is

What Is
