All of those would not be possible without knowing. Well, from one angle you're right. And from another angle, it's all the unknown. ** after all, what is the " known " ? something that some people agree upon as being true? what is " unknown " ? something that people didn't invent the words for..? > We started existing, i guess, when our parents made us and since that moment we are in a continuous search for knowing. What if the you that your parents made is just a dependent phenomenon that is so interconnected with other phenomena that it has no independence of its own whatsoever? In that case, there is just beginningless and endless phenomenality, with births and deaths just apparent changes in the flow of " this " ... *** when i was a kid i thought that people have movies inplanted in their eyes.. What if there is no knowing entity that comes into being or goes out of being -- just a beginningless and endless flux in which knowing and being aren't separable? ** there can't be knowing without being! mira

Yes, quite so. The words have never been invented for this, as is, and never will ... Agreements have social import in day to day life, but " this as is " has nothing to do with those agreeements, disagreements, bartering and dickering ... > > We started existing, i guess, when our parents made us and since > that moment we are in a continuous search for knowing. > > What if the you that your parents made is just a dependent > phenomenon that is so interconnected with other phenomena > that it has no independence of its own whatsoever? > > In that case, there is just beginningless and endless > phenomenality, with births and deaths just apparent > changes in the flow of " this " ... > *** when i was a kid i thought that people have movies inplanted in their eyes.. smart kid! :-) > What if there is no knowing entity that comes into > being or goes out of being -- just a beginningless > and endless flux in which knowing and being aren't > separable? > ** there can't be knowing without being! well, then, that doesn't leave room for a knowing entity that moves through experiences of life, learning things and knowing things ... there isn't anything to know or be known -- being already is the case, and knowing already is being ... with no before or after ... emptiness of knowing/being/time ... -- Dan
