I think the Self would be free like at death but not completely. The

ideitification with the body might be shattered completely. If not

the Self (the I--I) might find itself in a highly restrictive reality

until death much like those in Oliver Sacks " Awakenings " . How much of

our psychology is brain based would be hard to say. The ego, which is

formed in response to physical experience, may reside in the physical

brain. I'd like to hear other's views on that also.

This question is irrelevant for that which was never

born in or as a particular body.

 

The question's only other relevance is for a body that is experiencing

the above situation, in which case, it will be answered

for that body at the time it occurs.

 

The rest is just meaningless speculation.
