Guest guest
I believe what you felt was your inner body, the spirit that animates the physical "shell". In that moment, you were totally present, in the NOW. The trick is being fully aware of this inner body at all times and allowing it to take you deeply into presence. Guest guest
8 months ago when i was in the midst of an automobile accident,i was severly pinned down, unable to move with blood in my eyes, ears, mouth and numb all over....i still could sense myself... " me " ,to be alive ,to " be " . What then is this sense which senses the self and does NOT need any cues whatsoever(gustatory, olfactory, tactile ,visual and auditory) to sense our " alive-ness " . Is this not the 6 th sense? Who daresays we are restricted to the 5 senses???? Stayin` alive, Jade
Guest guest
Indeed Jade, there is a sense of Self that can appear in non-normal conditions. Perhaps it could be considered as the 'primary state'with the accepted states operating as aspects allowing for the manifest to function and to be considered as the real condition of life. That this often occurs when the 5 states are inapproate, can, at the least, lead to inquiry as to the our true nature. Examples of this in my experience occured in war, of all places. A situation developed in which a person had been injured beyond 'enemy' lines. With no volition on my part i grabbed another person, left our weapons behind and just walked out to the injured man picked him up and we brought him back. There was no thought and no sensory input. Upon arrival we became aware of our unit staring at us as if we were freaks. We were informed that we had walked through the enemy at one point, and back through another, both times through a mine-field. They tried to excape by following in our steps, but could not as we had stepped on several mines. ,,,,,,,,,, This state has appeared several times, but has never been avaible on demand. To be able to surrender and abide in that state is more important than the brief appearances thereof.
