Guest guest
J: When you are actually still, not in the mind or your emotions, but within you as conciousness, then you will find that you are in love with that. Q. In love with what? J: In love with what you know: with a true way of being, with openness and softness of heart, with stillness and with rest. Q. When you say stillness of conciousness, you're meaning honesty? J: When conciousness becomes honest, it becomes still. As soon as conciousness becomes dishonest, it gets busy, and starts doing what it does not need to do, starts trying what it does not need to try. It even tries ways of being that it actually knows do not work. When there is dishonesty of conciousness, there is self-delusion happening. Conciousness ends up insisting on something that it knows is not true and that does not work. It insists that it has to work because it thinks it just might, if it changes it this way or tries it that way. And that never works. But dishonesty never ceases trying. When there is honesty of conciousness, it is the end of all trying. It is the end of all 'doing' to 'be'. Honesty of conciousness results in a true love of stillness and rest, for the sake of stillness and rest.
