Guest guest
The expression "pure being" is at best redundant, and technically, the notion of pure/impure does not apply to the term "being". 'pure'/'impure' apply to things within manifestation. "being" as such is the ground of manifestation, and qualifications do not apply to it. What kinds of true statements can be made of the form: "Being is _____________". The only values that can fill the blank above, that I can see, are effectively synonyms for "being". For example, "Being is now." Because "now" and "being" are the same. In any such case of a synonym, the value to fill the _________ is a noun. It seems to me impossible to make a valid statement where the __________ has an adjective, because "being", as the ground of manifestation, cannot properly be said to have qualities. This, by the way, is a grammatical issue, not a metaphysical one. A better question, if I may suggest, than asking "what is pure being?", is to ask why that question seems significant. Really trace back to why that question seems important and I warrant you will "hit upon something" very interesting. -Bill In a message dated 6/9/2003 8:20:49 AM Pacific Standard Time, sinadabrahman writes: I'm not trying to play a game I simply try to understand the pur being.
