Guest guest
Dear all: I feel that I am at the edge of an abyss. If I don't do anything, I will be drawn over the edge, which I belief is what should happen. But I'm scared, so I struggle--and therefore I don't fall in. What do I do? Guest guest
By enquiring "What is this 'me' who seems to be suffering? Who am I?", apperceive You(I) are the Unborn, the timeless and spaceless.'me' is only pseudo-entity. You shall be helped certainly from 'Pointers from Nisargadatta Maharaj' by Ramesh S. Balsekar. You(I) are the Absolute. No suffering, no fear, no desire. - caspardegroot Nisargadatta Tuesday, June 10, 2003 3:27 AM FearDear all:I feel that I am at the edge of an abyss. Guest guest
The real abyss is your struggle. The abyss you imagine you are at the edge of is just that, imagination. To enter the abyss you simply " go into " the struggle within yourself. " When we accept the conflict within suffering ends. " So it is not to change anything. Not to even stop struggling. It is just to " go into it " , to go into the very teeth of the struggle within. We are somehow conditioned to be afraid of conflict within ourselves, as if that is the ultimate " wrongness " , as if we are somehow ourselves " invalid " if there is conflict within. The source of suffering is itself the direct result of non-acceptance of what is within ourselves. It is not " wrong " to have conflict within. That is a social error that has been hammered into us. Look at it this way: when you allow yourself to experience the conflict within you " straight on " then you know you are looking Truth in the eye. You know you are being true. And what more solid ground is there? -Bill caspardegroot [caspardegroot] Monday, June 09, 2003 11:27 AM Nisargadatta Fear Dear all: I feel that I am at the edge of an abyss.
