No Bob, he wasn't having a bad day, and neither are you. What he said, whoever he/she was, is correct. So the question is why is it both true and untrue? Maybe the answer is: since there is no one who realizes, realizing and not realizing coexist; and the same brain that sees Samsara as Nirvana today, may see tomorrow that neither is really there without consciousness. There are two people lost in the desert. One is walking ahead of the other. Both spot a pool of water shimmering in the distance. Both run toward the water. The one behind sees the one ahead stop and drop to the floor before reaching the water. 'He is too weak to go on.' He thinks and runs faster. The one ahead sees now the mirage as a mirage, the one behind sees it still as water. It's just a matter of perspective. If the one 'who knows' runs back to tell the other, he will see the light as water again. although. he won't be fooled. So he could say the water is the light, the light the water. To his friend who has not reach the right perspective, the water still looks like water. Love, Pete
