Guest guest
Thanks for all Because practice is pivotal point in spirituality, I want more discuss to all for more detail. I feel all answering still not clear to me (I feel sorry about that). Elizabet answer is: 1. Elizabet answer is: Be still and know that ~~~~~~~ I AM ~~~~~~~. That is the practice. (she is not clear to me, because she doesn't specific about that: is it contemplation or mantra? How we do? Continuously or if only there's trouble with our mind? Is we need special place like quiet place or anytime and any place? 2 Toby answer: So full of divine potentiality past the point of overflow, A liquid resonance melting All except that which we truly know. A pulsing ocean of stillness In deep suspension, we float, The gentle touch of this golden flower Plays such a soothing note. (I think is answer still not clear, is it like watching our condition in deep meditation? We see our thoughts our sensation and we only watch. I think it is like zazen meditation. Is it correct? 3.Bil answer: a. It is a very deep question and will take some time to answer properly, time that has been very scarce of late.( I still wait your answer Bill, thanks) b. Comment for tob( and bill agree): It floats gently in stillness. (I think is like zazen meditation, silent meditation,is it right?). I think nisargadatta stress for questioning about sentence like Maharshi `who am I' or his words himself `Give all your attention to this question `What is it that makes me conscious?' until your mind become the question itself and can not think of anything else (447: ASMI compiled Miguel Angel Carrasco) Please see the others: `Somehow it was very simple and easy in my case .My Guru before he died ,told me: `Believe me you are the supreme reality .Don't doubt my words and don't disbelieve me. I am telling you the truth ,act on it " . I could not foget his words and by not forgetting , I have realized…………. I found myself desiring and knowing less and less , until I could say in utter astonishment `I know nothing , I want nothing " (390-1; ASMI compiled Miguel Angel Carrasco). 4. Hur Guler answer: a. Although there's nothing wrong with repeating the words " I am, " for maharaj " I am " is not a mantra.(rejecting mantra practice) b. again, there's nothing wrong with doing this (and in fact it often happens when we sit in silence) but there's no effort suggested in watching any thoughts.( It seems Hur accept this, he stressing no effort for practice watching ; and off course for watching we don't need special effort. Is it your suggest, Hur ? c.Question (me): Is it like to thinking about these words/sentences and > contemplation and make understanding become richer and stable and then > we know `I am `with deep faith and understanding become effortlessly? Mr Hur answer:again, nothing wrong with doing that but no mental process is required for what maharaj suggests. i think that's why hindus call jnana yoga as the simplest but the hardest form of yoga. (Comment : What the meaning `but no mental process is required for maharaj suggest'? I think if we contemplate scripture or questioning `who am I' for the first time mental process must involved after long period practice become effortless.(mental process become automated ) d. Hur answer: in silence meditate as consciousness on consciousness nothing else (Is it like watching meditation? Please more clearly Point of my questions is: 1.When we doing practice , we must have special place or time or not ? (in silent meditation/zazen , normally we can do that practice but we can not do in midst activity is very hard to do. But maybe we can do like zen practice: When we walk we aware we walking , when we eat we know/ aware we eat) 2. Can we practice in midst activity? ( when we have deep faith , and always have questioning anything ,we can practice like that, except silent meditation). 3. What difference nisargadatya practice with the other practice, is Nisargadatta more special than the others? (Hur answer : " i am " and " the sense of being " and consciousness, and even ramana's " self-inquiry " all mean the same but He suggest watching practice in seat meditation. 4. I think nisargadatta more stressing for practicing about' inquiry' , and `negation' practice. Like `who am I',or ' Remember , nothing you perceive is you own'. (I think the practice similar like `koan zen' practice but nisargadatta more stressing to be become deep faith, and in zen , `questioning/inquiry' more stressed for no answer anything, to break and destroy logical/mental condition process.
