Guest guest
With all the variabilities of the various translations, and with a limited budget, I'd like to ask the list members for recommendations regarding the 'best' books to obtain. Other than what i've been able to read online, I have only Dunn's " Consciousness & the Absolute " . Thanks, diana

Thanks, diana KKT: If your budget is limited then just buy " I Am That " of Maurice Frydman which is always the best. Another good one is the second book of Maharaj, " Seeds of Consciousness The Wisdom of Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj " edited by Jean Dunn. Read some sample pages from a variety of books and decide for yourself but " I am That " is vast enough for most that it appeals even to those who have never heard of Advaita. If you're an Advaita purist, perhaps the later books by Jean Dunn may make more sense. Personally I like I am That. The talks in that book were recorded during the healthy, younger period of Maharaj when he didn't cut his speeches short. Not only Maurice but the publisher/editor Sudhakar Dikshit deserves credit for the quality of the material. Hur
Guest guest
I Am That. It will transform consciousness. This online recollection is also very good (if you haven't already read it): http://www.davidgodman.org/interviews/nis1.shtml Manu
