" there's no you, there's no free will, you're already enlightened, " ...then i must be the eternal Self watching the movie...relax...pass the popcorn. don't get me wrong...i appreciated the selection of the quotes and the humor. what i didn't like in the article was...since the magazine carries andrew cohen's precious agenda of " evolutionary " consciousness, it misses the topic of consciousness or presence and ridicules the neo-advaita teachings that glows with the unchanging consciousness that does not depend on evolution, changing, becoming a better person. was it done on purpose? i have no idea. and that's really why i got interested in advaita in the first place, not because of the wishy-washy neo-advaita theories or how to self- improve myself with personal growth methods, but i noticed that all advaita does is to point to awareness of awareness itself...the problem begins when this awareness is defined as the Universal Self, Consciousness (with capital C), etc...giving the poor seeker the ultimate candy by validating our desire for enlightenment and eternity. hur
