Guest guest
There was once a professor who taught the subject of Consciousness at a prestigious university. He knew everything there was to know about Consciousness. A female student of his was very fond of this prof. She took all the classes the prof offered. It was a mystery how this prof could offer so many classes, workshops, resarch heavily, get published in serious journals and still had time to write popular books on Universal Awareness and the Self. It was rumored that he only slept 2 hours a night. When a female student asked him how he could do it all, the prof must have liked this female student so much that at a moment of weakness, like most males who have the need to boast to the female of the speciest, he revealed the secret. He admitted that as an experiment the university's science lab created an exact duplicate of himself. This was how he could engage in so many different activities. The clone did the boring stuff so the prof could enjoy the fun things in life. The only difference was the clone lacked self awareness. When she recovered from the initial shock, she gathered enough courage to ask him if she was speaking to real prof or the clone. The prof said, " you tell me. " She said she didn't know The prof pointed out to her that they were at the office and he was doing the boring job of taking interest in a student that the celebrity prof would never do. He confirmed, " Yes, I am the clone. " When he saw the disappointed expression in her face, the clone dropped another bomb. " The human mind not only mimics free will but it also mimics self-awareness. What the real prof calls Consciousness is nothing but a part of the mind that binds all the sensations. The only difference between me and the real prof is that I know there's no such thing as Awareness or the Self. " The student was so disgusted by the teachings of this walking corpse that although the prof told her later on that it was only a joke, there was never any clone, she never visited him again.
