Guest guest
is anyone here familiar with the indian avatar named mother meera? a friend i met at an advaita satsang a couple of years ago told me he was going to germany to see mother meera. i had never heard of this name and was intrigued with the human need of worshipping another person. why not? after all there's plenty of persona worshipping in other aspects of life such as d/s (domination/submission sexual games), pop culture idols worshipped as icons, following political leaders, etc. i was curious so i checked mother meera's website which had plenty of photos of this bright eyed avatar. anyway, the other day i noticed the site does not seem to be there anymore. instead there's a commercial new age portal. i suspect the domain name for mothermeera.com had expired, was not renewed (god err- mother meera knows why) and an opportunist grabbed it and turned it into a portal. this is only a speculation. does anyone out there know what happened? hur
Guest guest
Dear Hur, Here is another link: http://www.sannyasin.com/mothermeera.html If you use the German word " Mutter " for the english " mother " and search with Google for " Mutter Meera " you will find more links - but all in German.
