I once heard someone say to John de Ruiter, " This term 'consciousness' you refer

to is just so mysterious. " John responded, " Consciousness is in no way

mysterious. Everything is profoundly mysterious to consciousness. "

Yes, a Mystery to be lived.

It strikes me that BS or not is pretty debatable,

but that life is a mystery...who could deny that?

Where would we be without Mystery?

Nope, Bill.

Nope, Sandeep.

Questions exist, just as cars and hamburgers do.

It is contrary to linguistic convention to say questions do not exist.

Someone walks into a restaurant and asks, "Where's the restroom?"

That is a question. The question exists, just as much as the restaurant

does.

Of course one can claim that nothing exists etc. etc. but what is the

point in that?

As for "dissolution of the question"... how did that come up?

Dissolution of a question is of no more import than dissolution

of restaurants or or emails.

But now I am wondering if what you meant was...hmmm....

That classic notion of "the seeker" entails the notion of the seeking,

which entails a notion of some sort of question I suppose.

And there is the classic notion of the dissolution of the seeker...

entailing dissolution of the seeking etc., obviously. So we have

two kinds of questions here it seems. A "Who am I?" type question

as in the case of the "spritual seeker", and a question in the trivial

ordinary sense, such as, "Where is the restroom?"

When El wrote:

> Mystery, but no questions arise.

That made sense to me because I took her to mean the deeper

kind of "questioning".

When I wrote:

>> The questioner is absent.

Indeed. But the question remains.

I was simply refering to the "linguistic articfact", sans

*questioning* in any deep sense.

Does that make sense? ... : ) [Just had to ask!]
