Guest guest
it's not a claim of universal truth or anything like that but " i " find consciousness mysterious. not just to me but even to scientists, consciousness is mysterious since they cannot even agree on what consciousness is. anyway i was responding with a word play: 1. consciousness is mysterious (the seeker's perspective) 2. everything is mysterious to consciousness (jdr's perspective) 3. the third perspective, only and only if you believe that the state of consciousness is how the mind resonstructs reality in order to interpret it, then consciousness is nothing but a link to existence. hence *is-ness* or existence is mysterious to the conscious mind or to me. hur
Guest guest
Yes hur, beautiful. Of course to " you " and to " me " consciousness is mysterious. That was exactly the point, everything is mysterious " to consciousness " , even consciousness itself. >>hence *is-ness* or existence is mysterious to the conscious mind or to me. Wrapped up wonderfully hur. I can dig it. My comment is: There isn't any mysteriousness if reasons aren't needed. *Is-ness* just IS. That doesn't mean seekers and scientists shouldn't have a grand time knocking themselves out looking for and establishing reasons, correlations, research findings, etc. Neuroscience is extremely fascinating. Say, have you heard? A disturbing new study has found that studies are disturbing. And what was that old public service announcement? " A mind is a terrible thing to waste. " I'm sure a lot of people on these lists would be inclined to say. " A mind is a terrible thing. " Oh well...it's just another day in paradise.
