Guest guest
Greetings All, In the light of Advaita Vedanta where does the Bhuddist Abhidharma stand? The Bhuddists claim this deep study is a total break-down of the mind's components to give one a psychological method to overcome the wrong workings of the mind. Is this just another " thing " in itself to give the mind something to fixate on or does this study actually have merit? Steve

Go ask a Buddhist who is knowledgable. But of course it is just another " thing " ... like advaita or whatever else. The point is, is to find the thing that will free you. For some it's Buddhism, for some it's nondual teachings -- and in both cases some become attached the words and concepts rather than finding out for themselves what they are pointing to. Best of luck, Joe
