Guest guest
Greetings Josesiem, No I do not have a dislike for sitting in contemplation but had been told and that one can just as well convert any activity into this contemplation. I also had heard Papji mention that sitting in a meditative state is really just concentration (I completely accept if I have misunderstood what he was saying as he was hard to understand in the video). UG gives the impression that meditation is just " mentalistics " (That is the only way I can describe what I get out of his " non-teaching " ). So, I have been " letting my mind go at itself " while I am driving, playing with my kids,etc.. the paradox is always rolling around in my mind.... which I have verified for myself as being what many on this list claim to be still just the " seeking function of the mind trying to perpetuate itself " ... What really shorts the circut is seeing that all I am doing is feeding the mind. My mind is such a whore and slave to searching it will even use a doctrine such as Advaita to " cannabalize " itself.... just as long as it gets to seek, search, contemplate, whatever... that much I feel I have varified on my own. But ya know what? I forgive myself and I'm not going to let it get to me. As one said earlier... a butterfly can sit on a pile of dirt.. A few weeks ago someone said that this type of " inquiry/verification " very well may be enough and " de- personalization " will happen on it's own.... At the very least I can see the kind of tricks the mind tries to work. Now it can play tricks with itself. HOWEVER: If meditation can help me then by all means give me some pointers as I have never seriously tried it. Hope this makes sense.
