Guest guest
>Steve, >You asked for suggestions. I gave you one: Shut up and enjoy what you got, fully. Not half ass as you're doing now, pretending you don't like it and that there is more. There isn't any " more. " More is the gate of hell. All the trouble in the world starts with that word. Shut up! Be silent an enjoy whoever the hell you are. >That's my suggestion. >Pete >KKT: I like very much what you wrote here, Pete :-)) Very eloquent and true! Shut up = No more " more " ! :-)) So we are what we are. And we are happy :-)) Whatever we are in, heaven or hell. >KKT P: Thanks KKT. It's so simple, it's pitiful. The mind is the only obstacle, the mind is nothing but mental activity: thinking, wanting, fear, dissatisfaction, emotions, the urge to control, to acquire knowledge, and to perpetuate itself. And it is this same activity that wants to stop, and it is trying to stop by searching and thinking which is doing. It's hilarious. So the mind can't do nothing to stop. If the mind sees this clearly maybe stillness will happen. Not a still mind, when there is stillness there is no mind. The mind is not an object it's an activity. Sometimes stillness happens out of exhaustion with the search (as in a koan), sometimes it happens during meditation, or for no reason at all. In stillness, there is apperception, insight, and all that jazz. And when the mind restarts, because it will, there will be also a profound understanding and its activity won't be a problem again. P: Very funny, Eric. " stillness is a moment of intense activity " you wrote. You don't seem to even know the dictionary definition of stillness, much less its numenic quality. But I take it as a prank, you trying to muddy the issue to get under my skin. I have no skin Eric, only bones. But as you know, I can get under yours really easily. )) Pete

That is the whole point you have no idea what I was talking about and you want a debate. I'm not running for office Eric. If people agree with what I say, find. If they don't fine too. You are hungry and I feed you what I got. If you go to an apple tree, you get apples. You have known me for a while. If you approach a lemon tree, you must need something sour. Get sugar somewhere else, lemonade isn't bad. Sourly yours, Pete
