interesting, guys, to confont this concept of memory with the common

one:

i acquire memory, i lose it ... memory can be remote

unretrievable ... it fades with time ... a strong memory is a good

handle on reality ... a guy with no memory is disoriented ... memory

itself has to be located and classified in different types ... it can

be collective or personal ... is what is retrieved in a therapy, the

remotest or deepest the more meaningful, etc.

how did we end up believing definition number two if reality is

number one, to whom does the crime profit?

Because memory constructs a " self " which then interacts

with memories in such as way as to image/imagine

that certain memories are close and others are distant,

thus creating a sense of ongoing being and time.
