Well Guys, ( Dan and Eric)

I just got home from work to all of your wonderful messages for me. I'm so

honored!

Funny how I use one little word ( shhh! permanent) because I knew what Steve

was referring to when he said, " Greetings Everyone,

I have read that both Niz and UG said that they are in a permanent state of

Samadhi. Is this permanent Samadhi.... " snip >

Jess con't:

and you guys go berserko! LOL!

I'll be sure to flog myself before going to bed tonight and then tuck myself

in... IN MY HAIR SHIRT and pray for forgiveness! ( for forgetting to split

hairs over this).

See Koohaj! u're not the only one who gets their ass chewed here!

MALE DOMINANCE AND TESTOSTERONE RULES! YEAH!

Geez!

OK OK! I'll try to be a good girl for you'all.

Oh no, Jess -- we've resorted to throwing quotes at each other,

now, have we?

Jess:

No, Dan not at all...do i detect a reaction here? is it because it isn't in

keeping with what you wrote? BTW, i didn't read it all.

BUT...aren't you the person who several years back wrote about aversion

being the same as attachment??? or something like that. So you have an

aversion to my post.... eh???!!!!

i was simply sharing something Robert wrote and would have someone read at

the end of each satsang....shared it for Steve, to ponder....if he'd like.

There are probably five million quotes you can come up with

promoting some kind of absolute permanent state, many

of them derived from Hindu thought, like the quote below.

If you look harder though, you can find at least a whole lot

that say there is no permanent state, and which look into

the kind of grasping involved in claiming or going after

one. In fact, this is the raison d'etre for Gautama's

(at that time and place) revolutionary way of teaching.

Jess:

Yup.

But, obviously, there is no permanence in a quote.

Jess:

very erudite of you, Dan!

One day, not only will the individual who made that claim

for himself or herself be dead, but the entire culture

that supported that language and thought will be gone,

that planet will be defunct, and that solar system no more.

Jess: agreed dude. So what's your point?

So, rather than throwing quotes about permanent samadhis or satoris,

you are wrong, Dan...stop playing the mindreader. i was not throwing quotes,

i was simply sharing with Steve and I still believe it answers his question.

I'd much rather hear from you, Jessica, what it's like

for you to be there.

Jess: sittin here la la waitin for my ya ya. aha. aha.

Clearly a second-hand report is very unreliable, and certainl is also a

transient phenomenon.

that's my man Dan, always putting the cherry on top!
