Guest guest
Hi Diana, Why I laugh? There is nothing more comic that a huge ego trying to teach egolessness. Wry senseless attacked Era for a harmless post. Dramatically and grandiosely calls it " a dis-service to humanity. " Then goes on to accuse her of not being mindful and to offer her help in making her mindful, while she admits that she was unaware that this site (despite its name)was dedicated to Nisargadatta. If she is not even aware what kind of teachings are being discussed on the site, how can she accuse a member of being mechanical for quoting those teachings? If that is not laughable, what is? See bellow >It shows how people go mechanically from topic to topic, not even using their own words. First thing in the New >Year they are off >to a canned start. It is a disservice to humanity. I could care less what she thinks of Niz. It's her ridiculous pomposity that cracks me up. And I think Era has to be commended for taking the high ground and ignoring her attack. Era, you have come a long way, baby! Thanks for your reply, Pete Find out what made the Top Searches of 2003

I guess i fall out more on the tragic than comic side of such activity, as being the root of all cruelty, from the minor, casual everyday brand all the way through to killing. Animals are seldom cruel or malicious. Some Killer whales seem to toy with seals before killing them. Cats seem to toy with mice, but do they realize they are inficting suffering? Nevertheless, the universe and animals are ruthless. It sure would be nice if earthquakes would only kill the guilty and spare the innocent. It would be nice if it would kill fast an clean, but it doesn't seem to care to spare pain. Could there be a plan to all that random misery? Could that have a purpose? Well sure, individualy is not ultimatly real, but pain is pain. So why this cosmic Sadomasochism? Just some interesting ethical points if anyone feels like playing.
