LOL you two guys good buddies? i can appreciate that, Friendship such a noble feeling <let's give the mic to Sheilah> " Friendship for a person being is the reflexion of Friendship for oneself, if a person being is Friend with one, so too is he with oneself " Sheilahgroup-join-now (cause i'm bored to death with my mystic tapes of the sixties)
Guest guest
Dear Eric, Allow me to cite J.K. what he said about friendship: " The base of friendship is the exclusion of others " . (We always make friends on the back of others) " Friendship can only last if there is no tension " . (which makes for hypocrisiy). Guest guest
Interesting Eric, Several times I tried to read Rumi, but I can't get into it. The way he is expressing himself is toally out of my reach. I was into Sufism and lived two years in a Sufi Khanka but I must confess Sufism is not my thing but I really like Ibn Arabi. He was the only of all those Sufi authors I could relate to. The sentnece of Rumi you cited I think just meant " Don't get dependend " . A similar sentence is: " Don't fall in love with a fucking body " . Guest guest
-See how these things work! the posts have gone from humorous hasseling to a serous discussion on friendship, marital affection, and suffism. Fastest than a speeding bullet. What makes you think I'm not your friend? Just because I never hassle Sk, it doesn't mean I care more for him than I care for you. The only thing that indicates, is that, in my opinion, he doesn't need to be hassle. -- In Nisargadatta , " eric paroissien " <brahmanshines@a...> wrote: > Nisargadatta , " Werner Woehr " <wwoehr@p...> > wrote: > > Interesting Eric, > > > > Several times I tried to read Rumi, but I can't get into it.
