Guest guest
I was being rather subtle eric. What I meant was... can you imagine the members on this list agreeing on anything? Seems that " Nisargadatta people " are particularly unable to concur on much of anything : ) Hence a Nisargadatta cult seems highly unlikely. But we can all disagree about that I suppose : ) Bill - " eric paroissien " <brahmanshines <Nisargadatta > Monday, January 26, 2004 11:14 PM Re: I want to join Nisargadatta group > Nisargadatta , " Bill Rishel " <plexus@x> wrote: > > > Don't know > > > why some folks make a cult out of it. > > Cult? How do you think he came to the insight that anything that can be percepted isn't you? Simplicity, directness and undeniability are attributes which can impress, fascinate someone perhaps, but, these qualities per se wouldn't make me love somebody. If anything you can percept isn't you, is your perception of love towards Nisargadatta you or not you? sk

Nisargadatta is life. Nisargadatta is all things to all people. Blah blah blah. Whatever. Nisargadatta is just a reflection of YOU, sk. Everything you are saying is not about Nisargadatta but is about you. If I say I love something, it doesn't mean I'm possessed by it. I love ice cream. But it's not an obsession. I think you are complicating things here way beyond what is necessary. I love Nisargadatta. I love ice cream. I love warm spring days. It doesn't mean it's " me " . I'm just making conversation.
