Hi mathematician-Pete How does this fit with the fact that the universe keeps, as far as I know, expanding...waiting, so to say, for the " big crunch " . I don't know! Are you already calculating with dark energy? :-)) sk Hi sk, Well, The universe is a closed system, and taken as a whole the energetic balance sheet is zero. Of course, locally ( at any given point) there is imbalance. Expansion has to do with the momentum of the Big Bang. Acceleration with the creation and destruction of virtual quantum particles in the false void of space. This creation and destruction expands space localically, and no residual energy is left. Don't ask me to prove any of this to you. Read Steve Hawkins' books, if you don't believe me. ) Pete SiteBuilder - Free web site building tool. Try it!
