Guest guest
Sheila, Visited your website today and found the following quote. Thought it perfect for a friend, to whom I sent it. Very nice. Thank you, Bill Eternity begins with the first step. Therefore, the new world will begin at that precise moment where one of us, being able to choose despondency and frustration, selects happiness and optimism. Guest guest
Did I say I was looking? But there is a unique path for each individual. When one is seeking the path is their seeking. When one is not seeking the path is their walking. This is so even though there is no " one " anywhere. Guest guest
I assumed you were " looking " because you keep talkin about how you imagine there is somewhere to go & that each individual needs a path & so on. I don't see any path. I don't see anywhere to go. I don't even see any individual. There is no ghost in the machine. Give it up. This whole " I Am " thing is sheer illusion. Merely chasing a shadow. Guest guest
Of coure the whole " I Am " thing is sheer illusion. Nisargadatta himself says as much. And yet he talks about " I Am " a great deal. Why is that Danananda? This is about " skill in means " . Tell me why the Buddha enunciated the Four Noble Truths and the Eight-Fold Path for the myriad beings lost in illusion that he proclamined did not exist? OK. I've asked you two questions. Guest guest
Good questions, Sandeep. Let's get some Advaita goin here. To whom is the illusion? The illusion is to the " whom " . There is no whom. Illusion dispelled. Who does the chasing? The imaginary " whom " chases it's own shadow. The ego's shadow is the Self. The Self is as unreal as the ego, being a by-product thereof. Guest guest
The Buddha exists only in your imagination. Forget about the Buddha. He is only hanging you up. Let's focus on " you " . Nisargadatta & Ramana told you to focus on the " I " . Why, you ask? Because if you focus on the " I " long enough & hard enough, the " I " disappears. Then, " you " are free. There's no more " you " to liberate. There's no more " you " to go anywhere on any path to seek any thing. " Your " problems are over. Try it. Do what the man said: Focus on the " I " . What is it? Guest guest
> The Buddha exists only in your imagination. You have no idea of what " exists " in " my imagination " . Well, you do have an idea apparently. Just utterly false. You say Buddha does not exist and then talk as if I do. The Buddha exists as some writings to you. I exist as some writings to you. What's the difference? [This is not an idle question btw. I have grave doubts you can answer this. Perhaps you will prove me wrong.] Any knowing of who you are talking to named Bill is false knowing. An assumption it is a " who " you are talking to named Bill is a false assumption. This conversation is empty. It is fog curling with fog. Yuan Tsu: " The mountains, rivers, earth, grasses, trees and forests, are always emanating a subtle, precious light, day and night, always emanating a subtle, precious sound, demonstrating and expounding to all people the unsurpassed ultimate truth. It is just because you miss it right where you are, or avoid it even as you face it, that you are unable to attain actual use of it. This is why Buddhism came into being, with its many expedients and explanations, with temporary and true, immediate and gradual, half and full, partial and complete teachings. The words of the Buddha were intended merely as efficacious expedients for leading men out of the darkness of worse ignorance. It was as though one pretended yellow leaves were gold to stop the flow of a child's tears. " Do you understand this quote? Can you explain it? What does it pertain to? Fog curling in fog. As far as the quote from Yuan Tsu is concerned, it's just more Buddhist propaganda. The Buddha did this & the Buddha did that & the Buddha was wonderful & the Buddha's caca don't stink & so on & so forth. All of this is just distraction & has nothing to do with the issue at hand, which is " you " . " You " are hiding behind the Buddha. Until " you " come out, there's nothing anyone can do about it. << You are hiding behind Nisargadatta, Danananda. You entered the list telling everybody, how much you love the beedie-dude and, that you even love him more than yourself (you wouldn't care if someone call your love, cult or not cult). Don't use Niz as a facade; you are eating Niz's shit and hoping, you will get here some endorsement in that activity. Laugh! << Until " you " come out, there's nothing anyone can do about it. >> From where did you get this? Did your daddy or mom say this to you? Is Nisargadatta now your new daddy? You didn't leave the house, Danananda. You simply change facades. That's what I call distraction; changing vizards and trying to make others believe, that your shit smells now better than Buddhas shit. Come on, Danananda, that's no Kindergarten here! You are a tragic buffoon! sk
