Guest guest
Close your eyes and pay attention to your breath. Your mind will distract you continuously, taking your attention away towards the past and the future. The only places where it feels safe. http://www.sheilah.net

Who is this that the mind will distract? Does it matter what you pay attention to? Could it be better to pay attention to attention? Is that possible? Could it be that to meditate is simply TO BE PRESENT, in the here, in the now, no ulterior motives? Maybe, for a bigginer, I don't know if there is such an animal lurking in the bushes, it would be better to observe immobility. What happens when there are no body movements, how the body feels, how those feelings change, how the urge to move appears, how it's fought by the desire not to move, how thoughts in pro and con appear, and how almost involuntarily a gesture is made. Then to start over again. Meditation slogan for today: Just be there! ) Pete
