Guest guest
A young scorpion left his village to discover the big wide world. Despite the fact that all the other scorpions in the village and particulary, the older and wiser ones, tried to dissuade him, he packed his bundle, chose the old and forgotten peregrination stick of the temple and took leave from all on a sunny sunday afternoon. It didn't take long time until he noticed, about what the old were talking about, dissuating him from the journey. People ran away, clamant and full of fear, as soon he appeared in the horizon. Soon, the villages he met on his way were abandoned and even the animals seemed to have disappeared progrediently out of his way. For weeks he walked alone through desertic landscapes in deep desolation and desperateness. He asked himself continuously why, why and why. Like a mantra. Even at night, when he slept the question were there in his dreams. Soon, he became weak. He took his last meal for weeks ago and he couldn't find nothing edible in the abandoned villages. He gave up. The distance back to his village was too big. He decide to sit down and wait for death. It didn't took long time and he fell in a sort of coma. But, he waked up. He saw a face near him and hands reaching him water, salt and pollen. He recovered soon and was able to speak to the old woman near him. She told him stories he couldn't understand. Fascinating and esoteric tales and allegories. The young scorpion began to suspect that the old woman could be crazy. But, her care and the histories she told eased him. He began also to feel love and profound respect towards the woman. Slowly his world gone to pieces during the journey were restored. Life, outside his village, couldn't be so cruel. There was hope. The time to say good-bye came. The old woman reached her hand to him. In a moment uncertainness the young scorpion, having so much hands to offer, decided to give her his most precious one, his sting. Our young scorpion went back to his village and it took a very long time until another young scorpion decided to do the journey. Exactly the time until this story, written on the stones of the temple, began to vanish. sk
