Guest guest
People think of themselves as independend individuals, yet they have no control over time. None. The illusion of having control is *created* by the changing moment NOW. Without this change, there would be no thoughts and no appearant personal control. We call the change in the moment time. What other change than time is there? Can you as an individual person create change yourself? Can you alter the course of the Universe? Maybe, but to me it seems like personal control is one the biggest jokes in Kosmos (to use Ken Wilber's definition of Totality). " I am responsible " , says the ego. " I can make things happen " , says the ego. " I will do this and that " , says the ego. " I will make my own choices " , says the ego. " I decide what to do and what not to do " , says the ego. " I have some control over my future " , the ego says. " I remember some of my own past " , the ego says. " I have a body and a brain and consciousness " , the ego says. " I am an independent human being " , the ego says. " I can alter the course of the Universe " , the ego says. Then comes a silent voice from the deepest part of an ancient history: " I am Time. What can you do without me? I create Universes. I created you. What can you do? " :-) /AL
