Guest guest
We are never alone. The internal dialogue with ourselves we call thinking is nothing but the Self talking to the Self. Even when we have a conversation with another person this conversation takes place inside our own mind; again the Self is talking to the Self. There is no " you " or " them " , there is only This. :-) Communication happens as a functioning of Totality, and there is no difference between inner communication (thinking) and outer communication (the " me " communicating with the " external " world). /AL

Guest guest
anders_lindman [anders_lindman] Friday, June 04, 2004 11:27 PM Nisargadatta The illusion of loneliness We are never alone. The internal dialogue with ourselves we call thinking is nothing but the Self talking to the Self. That means duality - who talks to whom - who is the talker / who is the listener ??? Even then for all this to happen there should be silence in the back ground ! In the Presence of all Talking - Silence is always there in the back ground without any effort to be silent. In the Absence of all Talking - Silence Alone Exists. /AL ** If you do not wish to receive individual emails, to change your subscription, sign in with your ID and go to Edit My Groups: /mygroups?edit=1 Under the Message Delivery option, choose " No Email " for the Nisargadatta group and click on Save Changes. Yes, and that silence cannot come about by any effort made by thinking, of course. /AL > > Even when we > have a conversation with another person this conversation takes place > inside our own mind; again the Self is talking to the Self.
