Guest guest
" If only you will remain resting in consciousness, seeing yourself as distinct from the body, then even now you will become happy, peaceful and free from bonds. " -- Ashtavakra Gita 1.4 I guess what it means to rest in consciousness is to look at the body in the same way one looks at a cloud or a flower. We don't say " My cloud " , that would be silly. We can say " My flower " if we have bought it, but this identification with an object is only an ego construct. We can, and we often do say, " My body " . This is natural because the body is what feels like a separate entity really being a separate self. But maybe it is possible to look at the body in the same way one looks at a cloud. We can say, " I am aware of this body in the same way I am aware of that cloud, while the cloud if far away, the body is near, but in essence they are one.
