Guest guest
Once you realize that everything you think about things and situations that will make you happy in the future, will in fact not really bring true deep happiness, but mere neurotic substitutes, then you can begin to drop your future, bit by bit. Really, truly from the bottom of your heart drop the future. Both the " good " and " bad " stuff about the future. Pathetic thoughts and feelings all of it! Sheer misery! Just drop it! :-) Do you know why you don't have enough good energy? Your future robs you moment by moment! Your future is taking your energy, it is a constant drain going on inside you. You are not even aware of the millions of contractions inside your body and mind that are caused by your future. You take your future seriosly. You let your future be your master. You are possessed by a demon that has you under its spell. So clever is this demon that it will make you think that it is you. Unplugging from the prison called the future. You have to let it all go; fear, doubt and disbelief. Free your mind. Relief, after relief! /AL

There's no way to get *here* from somewhere else, no working on dropping a way of thinking to get here. How silly. What is working on your thinking, but more thinking? As if any kind of thinking could produce *this* which is nondichotomizable, never divided into a past, present, and future. So, you're trying not to think of the future, are you? Maybe next you can try not thinking of a green elephant. Here's a thought: why not get a lobotomy (i.e., the operation that removes part of the forebrain)? You won't be troubled by thoughts of the future any more, and you won't have to ponder silly spiritual teachings and try to apply them to your life (what a waste of energy)! -- Dan

He seems to have some sort of understanding about these things, and although he could be a fake Sage, what he says sounds logical to me. Is your being a product of words, of thought, of what another provides? You have dropped the future, but you haven't dropped reliance on the words of another, nor reliance on thought to produce truth? -- Dan

You can't step outside of your present experiencing, as it is, to make truthful comments about what is being misconstrued in/as your present experiencing. Those very comments are themselves the arisings of/from/as your present experiencing. -- Dan

Osho talks about intuition as a higher state than the intellect. The intellect works only with the known and the unknown, while intuition comes from the _unknowable_, according to Osho. Intuition is aware of the intellect, but the intellect is only aware of intuition as " wow, where did that idea come from? " . :-) /AL
