This is dedicated to Anders

Can a fly understand glass? I have seen it happening again and again,

a fly butting against a windowpane. I have yet to see a fly

think, " aha!

This is going to kill me. I have done this before with no results, I

think

I will give up " . That would amount to a fly genius, a realized fly.

But, are not we flies when it comes to reality. Are not we trying to

think our way through it? Are not we trying to understanding it,

again, and again. What a dumb bunch of flies! It's glass stupid, not

air!

Stop bumping your head!

The intellect (my ego) will not let go. So many Sages have said. And

I am starting to believe them. :-) I put my faith in Time.

More like your beliefs won't let you, but which are the ones fueling

these restless speculations?

I see clearly that my ideas about time is a cloud draining me of

energy. So when I say that I put my faith in Time this means that I

hope Time will dissolve my cloud of 'time' which is an ego construct.

" Thought is time. Thought is born of experience and knowledge, which

are inseparable from time and the past. Time is the psychological

enemy of man. Our action is based on knowledge and therefore time, so

man is always a slave to the past. Thought is ever-limited and so we

live in constant conflict and struggle. There is no psychological

evolution.

When man becomes aware of the movement of his own thoughts, he will

see the division between the thinker and thought, the observer and

the observed, the experiencer and the experience. He will discover

that this division is an illusion. Then only is there pure

observation which is insight without any shadow of the past or of

time. This timeless insight brings about a deep, radical mutation in

the mind. " -- J. Krishnamurti

Dream on. Your ideas about time are simply distractions to avoid

taking a good look into what's really bothering you. There is no

time as an agency outside of your brain that could bring order by its

mere passage. It's up to you, you could keep on playing with your

mental toys, or take a good look at the toys and the game you play.

There is time and there is Time. What I mean by 'time' is thoughts

about past and future, and what I mean by 'Time' is the change in

this moment, which means that 'Time' embraces and includes 'time',

but 'Time' may eventually destroy 'time' in an individual.

Again I quote J. Krishnamurti:

" Thought is time. Thought is born of experience and knowledge, which

are inseparable from time and the past. Time is the psychological

enemy of man. Our action is based on knowledge and therefore time, so

man is always a slave to the past. Thought is ever-limited and so we

live in constant conflict and struggle. There is no psychological

evolution.

When man becomes aware of the movement of his own thoughts, he will

see the division between the thinker and thought, the observer and

the observed, the experiencer and the experience. He will discover

that this division is an illusion. Then only is there pure

observation which is insight without any shadow of the past or of

time. This timeless insight brings about a deep, radical mutation in

the mind. "

I think what Krishnamurti says is logical and that this timeless

insight could happen in an individual.
