Guest guest
Is a spiritual monogamy necessary for liberation? Do we need to be faithful to a guru, a religion, or method? Is it not spiritual promiscuity more fruitful? Personally, I have gone to bed with every major religion and liberation method. True, most have been passing affairs, or even one-night-stands, but I think I have profit greatly by my adventures, and remain to this day, unrepentant about my fickleness. Now, I can joyfully declare I have become celibate, that is a doctrinaire celibate, one who needs no doctrine to take to his ideological bed. But don't get me wrong, I 'm glad I fooled around. Because if what one wants is liberation, it helps to be a spiritual libertine. Pete
