There's a story of Chuang-tzu's which goes something to the effect of

Chuang Tzu and his pal sitting on a bridge, watching a fish. Chuang

Tzu remarks how happy that fish is, and his pal says, " But you're not

a fish - how could you know the happiness of a fish? " and then Chuang

Tzu says, " But you're not me - how could you know that I don't know

the happiness of a fish? "
