That is exactly what Lord Jesus said. " 25 The one who loves his life

will lose it, and the one who hates his life in this world will keep

it for eternal life. " John;12:25.Are you rich toward God? There are

things of God and things of man. Are you concerned about things of

God? Or are you only interested in things of this world? If so …visit

The one who is interested in worldy things lives in time. The direct

experience in the present moment is not a " thing " not even the

experience of " things " . Only in this moment can God be found. You are

forever separated from the future so you cannot found God in the

future. The mind creates a future as an object, an image about

events. The mind is an image factory, a map factory. There is a

constant stream of maps being produced in the mind of an ordinary

person. Then the mind mistakes these maps for something real. Sure,

the maps are real, but maps are about event that are never here and

now, so in that sense these maps are illusions. Can God be found in a

map? Propably yes, but who wants to live in maps almost all the

time? :-) The mind creates maps and then becomes worried and upset

about these maps. In reality the maps are probably not even created,

they appear as an automatic process in the mind.

When Jesus was tempted by Satan in the dessert, then it was this

thinking mind, these maps that was tempting him. But Jesus refused to

be tempted by the future, because he probably knew that there is no

future other than as 'maps'. The future is Satan's domain. The future

is an illusion.
