As I said i meet everyday life fresh everyday without the baggages of past experiences - everything day as a new day - that is what i mean by innocence. More succintly put i meet not to surrender or stay apart , i meet open and without prejudice of letting the situation and my clear inner self guide me. Maybe should should see the inner guide and the external world as one and the same thing. That the Guide is what is happening all-of-it, then there would be no conflict. Maybe you fail because by trying to meet a situation in a > > certain way you create a double illusion; for example, let's say > that > > you meet some new people and you want to behave in a kind way. > i know u quote this is an example but let me say that i dont want/choose to behave in a certain way - kind or unkind. I just meet it the situation as it is without any preconceived notion and react to it naturally from an inner belief. Maybe the belief hold you separated from the totality of every situation, creating a kind of division, sort of. >The > > first illusion is the belief that by trying to be kind you will > > actually *be* kind. Instead of letting ego, nerves etc pressurise me with past experiences/fears etc i try to meet a situation with innocence - innocence as in clean slate everytime - meaning i resist the effect of this trio in pressurising my reactions. I find it helpful to look at my fears and observe them and ask " who is afraid? " , and " what *is* this fear " and then I see that the fear is real, but then I ask, " Is the fear real right now, or is the fear about something in my thought-world i.e. in the future? " Fear is there because there is a 'me' there that needs to be protected. But what if I let this me become totally vulnerable. To loosen up the 'fist' that holds the me protected. > The second > > illusion is that there is a 'you' to put a mask of kindness on in > the > > first place. Trying is a form of struggle to get from one situation to another situation. If you have Innocence then Innocence is there and you don't have to do something to make it happen. If you try to *do* something in order to make Innoncence appear, then this is perhaps only the ego back in business again as the *controller*. But is Innocence the same as control made by a fragment me? /AL > > > > /AL / M > > > > > > Mail is new and improved - Check it out! > >
