Guest guest
Hello Masti, >We cannot stop doing but we need to get out of our way and learn non- doing.., we can however do what we do with innocence.> We do not need to get out of our own way, just to simply *understand the nature of our own mind* Non-doing is a very misleading term. Non-doing is a non-*dwelling* or sticking mind and this is not possible unless one has an intimate understanding of how their mind works, the way to gain an intimate understanding of ones mind is to look at it very carefully and also completely 'empty it' and notice it's behaviour. <By innocence i mean we dont let this trio of ego, nerves, mind etc feed us but approach everything afresh..and as you say - let the mind be transparent.> If the mind is transparent wisdom follows and wisdom is a *very* REAL thing. Wisdom in thought and thus action and behaviour. A 'transparent' mind is not *susceptible* to being dragged around by sticking thought or thought habits, nor is it susceptible to form thought habits. This then affects the whole ME, the whole mind / body organism and its life, the whole human creature entirely. > Non doing does not come naturally because we have all been raised in the value of strugggle and effort> No. Non-doing does not come naturally because people do not understand the nature of their own minds because no-one 'looks' or seeks to understand or investigate, most people are on 'auto-pilot'. > Become acquainted with that part of yourself that is beyond reaction, that is calm , centered, knowing, skillful and always in control> Yes! That is a way of saying or pointing at what it means. <Our ego has never delivered those qualities to us so why not stop asking it to> The ME with ego is *quite* capable of delivering any quality, it is only the ME that can deliver or has qualities. The ME with its thinking mind is changed. > Non Doing is just a way of remembering who you really are. Your are not the struggle and you never have been . You are the Knower. So just know that you are!. Non-doing 'de-emphasises' the relationship or interaction between the ME and the outside world, so that 'ones true nature' is 'closer' or more 'readily seen'.
