Guest guest
Hi there, Every day, you think about 50,000 thoughts. 50,000 times a day you think something and your thoughts weave the cloth of your world. Examine those thoughts. Are they constructive to what you want? Change your mind and you change your reality. Change your thoughts, you change the image you are. Choose bigger. Choose better. Choose more. " We cannot become what we need to be, remaining what we are. " -- Max Depree If you examine each circumstance and condition in your life, you will see clearly that the outer image of your reality is simply a reflection of the inner workings of your consciousness. The world without is a reflection of the world within. regards M anders_lindman <anders_lindman wrote: When thoughts become lighter and more transparent, then your troubles also become lighter and more transparent; all your problems. /AL ** If you do not wish to receive individual emails, to change your subscription, sign in with your ID and go to Edit My Groups: /mygroups?edit=1 Under the Message Delivery option, choose " No Email " for the Nisargadatta group and click on Save Changes. The world > without is a reflection of the world within. Yes, exactly. And this inner thought world can become lighter and not taken to be as serious as it used to. For example, my thoughts tell me that I should prepare for the future, to secure my income, my relations, my reputation, my possessions, my health, and so on and so on... And all these thoughts are backed up by enormous powerful emotions, memories, conditioning e t c making these thoughts seem very, very important. So there is an equally enormous relief when these thoughts become less important. The whole thought-construct tumbling to dust! This could be called the death of the ego. Only the ego is concerned with 'my' future. No security. That's a total relief. No security whatsoever. You may make a fool of youself. How nice! You may do something good. How nice! You may lose all your money. How nice! You may get AIDS. How nice! No security, means _no_ security. As long as you need security your mind projects fear in the form of future thoughts. And this fear is important until it is not important anymore. When the ego disappears then fear disappears. This does not mean that you will throw all your money on the street or stop taking care of yourself, but rather it means that there is no 'you' there at all as a worried person, that there is a past as a foundation, but no 'me' created out of that past. There is no self-interest. Self-interest has only to do with time which means the thoughts and feelings to make yourself happy and secure in the future. There is then no future 'you', only a present you. Drop the past and future 'you', because they are only a heavy load you carry, they are not the real you. In fact, they are demons, they are what in the Bible is called Satan. When Jesus walked in the desert, then his future 'him' tempted his present self. /AL > > regards > M > > anders_lindman <anders_lindman> wrote: > When thoughts become lighter and more transparent, then your troubles > also become lighter and more transparent; all your problems. > > /AL > > > > > ** > > If you do not wish to receive individual emails, to change your subscription, sign in with your ID and go to Edit My Groups: > > /mygroups?edit=1 > > Under the Message Delivery option, choose " No Email " for the Nisargadatta group and click on Save Changes. > > > >

Examine those thoughts. Are they constructive to what you want? How can u say that this is constructive / this is destructive ??? Change your mind and you change your reality. Reality is changeless Change your thoughts, you change the image you are. Choose bigger. Choose better. Choose more. all choosing implies COnflict. All " more/bigger/better -- " implies movement - away from the state of being. " We cannot become what we need to be, remaining what we are. Guest guest
This quotation may or may not be relevant. " We should handle our faithful servant, the ordinary moving mind, very gently and encourage it daily to make progress, using methods of love and holy ideas. In spite of being a mere servant, its powers are great, though very small compared to the Self. If we use force or fear to reform it we cannot attain the same success as we could achieve by love and holy thoughts. We should all the time keep on reminding his servant of the fact that the Self is eternal, whereas empty sensory pleasures are only momentary.
