Seriously though, I like to think of pure awareness as the mirror

mind. There is awareness and there is that which awareness is aware

of. Approaching the mirror of the present would then be to realize

awareness itself. In awareness are thoughts about the past, but these

thoughts are not the pure mirror of awareness itself. There is also a

thought/feeling of 'I', but this is also an appearance in awareness

and not a part of the pure mirror of awareness itself.

 

Observe your thoughts and at the same time notice that the 'observer'

of these thoughts is a thought-form itself. That which is aware of

all this is awareness itself. There is no need to observe the

observer observing the observer and so on... in an infinite

regression. Just recognize that any form of 'I' as an observer is

itself a thought-form. The changeless clean mirror of awareness is

the field in which this observation happens, in which everything

happens.

I agree

 

The present acts as a mirror that shows the reality

" within you " , and then, awareness arises as a pure

mirror of all the phenomena.
