Guest guest
Hi Bill and Toombaru, >> There is no such thing as a thought.>> There is such a thing as a thought. >> That....which is named " thought " .....is merely an accumulated conceptual construct>> Which is another thought/s or concept/s. >>composed solely of the elements that the mnemonic circuity believes that it knows about thought.>> The mnemomic circuitry doesn't believe anything. Any knowing about that which you talk about above is itself additional thoughts, concepts and ideas constructed as beliefs of a ME. > It is its own invention......>> No, thought doesn't invent itself. A ME thinks about thought and then constructs a belief for what thoughts are which also includes thoughts in the construction of that belief. >>> my sentiments exactly. > > while thinking *does* happen, > thoughts as distinct somethings that can be contemplated,>> Thoughts are *things*, and when they, or the thinking process is being contemplated there are more thoughts arising ( about it ). >>> like sea shells collected on the shore, > is a mythical notion.>>> No, they are just as real as a seashell, coffee pot or cd. Kind Regards, Scott.
Guest guest
> No, they (thoughts) are just as real as a seashell, coffee pot or cd. There is within seashells......coffee pots......and cds.....a certain verifiable consensus materiality that seems to be lacking in conceptual construct named " thought " . If you can set something on the table......it is real............ Those " things " that exist only in man's secondary conceptual (dream) world.....are not real. Guest guest
Hi again Toombaru, >No, they (thoughts) are just as real as a seashell, coffee pot or cd> >>>There is within seashells......coffee pots......and cds.....a certain verifiable consensus > materiality that seems to be lacking in conceptual construct named " thought " >>> >>>If you can set something on the table......it is real............>>>> If you perceive a thought it is real. > Those " things " that exist only in man's secondary conceptual (dream) world.....are not real.>>> They are real, and are phenomenally as real as any-THING else. You cannot grade reality *to* it's realness, a thought is *just as real* as a chair or a cat. Kind Regards, Scott.

You know, Scott, It's hard to discuss reality with people living in the 18th Century. Toom doesn't want to know that thoughts show up in Cat Scans, Toom doesn't want to admit, Toom, is happening within a brain... and nowhere else.
