P:Hola Querida, Not at all. I only thought, that you did not give enough thought as to how to convey your intuition. The word person, for most people here, has still its original meaning in Greek. It's a mask to wear in a performance. So, becoming a better person, is becoming a better trick with which to fool others. We are here, hopefully, not to become better, not to become, period. So can Self( if defined as everything that is, differentiate itself? And from what? Viewed in this way, it's clearly seen, Self-knowledge is impossible. What is, is. When it knows, it knows itself as the 'Other.' Therefore, the saying: " Love others, as you love yourself. " Serenity, love, compassion. How can they be cultivated? Cultivating means growing something by will. Can you really will the above qualities into being? If one doesn't feel them spontaneously, wouldn't any product of will be a an imitation? When facing beginners, he spoke of practice; when facing advanced practitioner, he offered long sutras; when facing one who was ready,he offered his silent presence. You prefer, I think, to present the same exact message no matter where or to whom. I respect so much what you did those 15 years of Sadhana. But leave the other aside. You always look the others. Leave the others aside. I remember when you entered this forum. I replied severly because you were an old practitioner! You arrived arrogant! Ask yourself a question. I already asked you that question! What have you learn during that 15 years of sadhana? Have you learned nothing? You arrived all mix-up! Compare your knowledge with the masters. I mean the litterature ( saints). Where are you in the process, and start again from there! This is not a bad answer! This is just not the answer for you to give to someone. Not at the level you are or the understanding you already reached. You know that God is everything and fills everything. So why reply with a childish answer! You are suppose to teach them. With the response you gave I'll start to believe that they are the ones who are teaching you? Get up man. You lost enough time. It is about time you start to understand! Don't play the fools game. The fouls might start to imitate you just for the fun of it! P.S. You said: becoz there is no 'i' above. And this is exactly the source of the problem Devendra people talk without knowing. And you were pissed off when you arrived in this forum. If there is no spiritual Hero around you. Well, become one! You could help a lot of people. If there was no " I " in you, you wouldn't be so pissed off and confused when you arrived!! When you say Balseboy got you confused then this rings a bell in my head. Man, how those masters got me confused!! I mean, is it not their foremost job to make the disciple confused to shake out his belief-systems? If he got your spiritual life offtrack - this sounds good to me. What the hell is a spiritual life? Does it mean you felt comfortable because you had a life which would lead you to enlightenment some day, some life? " Some day " never comes!! Does it mean Balseboy desturbed you in this task? Rightly so!! If your spiritual life was perfect then he could not have desturbed it. I am relatively new on this board as you know, so I am sure I have missed some discussions regarding Balsekar. But still, if you like to share: what makes you feel so bitter? If he was not right for you, why dont you just move on? Sorry for hitting you, believe me, I love you and I very, very much appreciate your sincerity and your rootedness in the tradition. But I think tradition is what is given from one to the next... and so on... so it stays ALIFE! Every master is different. ... I hope you dont misunderstand me, I 100% respect the tradition where you are coming from. You wrote: >i am a lamb before the masters. Devendra, I was very lucky, I have lived 10 years with an enlightened master. If I would have said to him " I am a lamb before you " he would have hit me very, very hard! In fact he did. He said to me: here is your sword, here are the ropes, cut them!!! And after this cut my head!!!! He said: look at me, I am the same like you! And he said: dont look at the finger pointing to the moon! He said: dont be a lamb! He has told me the following story, maybe you know it already: It happened, a small group of sheep was passing through a valley. A lioness jumped from one side to the other side. And just while she was jumping, she gave birth to a child. The child fell into that small group of sheep. The child was brought up by the sheep. Naturally, the child knew from the very beginning that he was a sheep. He never became aware of his being a lion—although he was a lion! One day this miracle was seen by another lion. An old lion passing by looked at this miracle—he could not believe his eyes. It was impossible! The young lion was walking with the sheep and the sheep were not afraid. He rushed to catch hold of the lion. And the sheep escaped, and the sheep-lion also escaped, naturally—so much afraid, trembling. But the old lion became very curious, and somehow he got hold of him, took him to the river and there they both looked into the river. It was like a mirror. And the old lion said, " Look, you are not a sheep. Look in the river! " Just the look... and do you know what happened? A great lion's roar, suddenly! Lots of love Stefan (Achileas - unenlightened!!!! -haha-)

I am > relatively new on this board as you know, so I am sure I have missed > some discussions regarding Balsekar. But still, if you like to share: > what makes you feel so bitter? If he was not right for you, why dont > you just move on? of course my spiritual understanding was/is not perfect..is still not aqnd is evolving..and of course the job of the masters is to shake up our preconceived " comfortable " notions. but with balsekar--whom i take to be a KID..it was the other way round...i was on the WAY and he pretended to be a Guru ..and i got attracted to his lofty talk and got cushioned into beleiving i am perfect.........and nothing needs to be done....it will all happen he shook my " uncomfortbale " notions and gave me a lollipop ..which i found was poison-laced. so he was anon-guru in a sense. i found him to be a FAKE...i mean its uncharitable but thats wot i can say. i have moved on.he is not for me..but i refer to him to find out if there is still stuff in him which i missed out....which others have understood... anywya he's mostly out of my system ....AFAIK he is not a Guru... he just taking advantage of his intellectual power...and presenting a one-sided interpreation of MHj which is a grave disservice to him. > > Sorry for hitting you, believe me, I love you and I very, very much > appreciate your sincerity and your rootedness in the tradition. But I dont say sorry..wot goes around comes back..if i have abused balseboy on this forum i have to answer. > think tradition is what is given from one to the next... and so on... > so it stays ALIFE! Every master is different. ... I hope you dont > misunderstand me, I 100% respect the tradition where you are coming > from. > > You wrote: > > >i am a lamb before the masters. no its only semantic.....wot i mean to say is i can nver think of such disrepect for the MASTERS that i show towards balseboy ..of course there is no blind beleif and the questioning,thses-antithses- synthesis process is such that evry teaching /MASTER is subjected to it. lots of love....... devendra
