You Know Zen stuff!! > > Alberto, P: Ruffling feathers is a valuable service we provide to others, at considerably risk to ourselves. Very few people are thankful for receiving such unsolicited help. Even old practitioners of that art, as I am. Sometimes fail to see it as a service, at least for a few seconds. Yesterday, I went to the bank, and there was a new very young teller at the window. I must have looked ancient to him. He probably thought someone who looked that old, must require special 'considerations'. For a moment, I resented his effort at being familiar, and over-helpful. I was on the point of rebuking him. Went I noticed my momentary annoyance. Damn! I said to my self. This kid is showing me I still somehow hold the notion, that just because I am older than him, he somehow is less than I. So why am I getting pissed because he thinks exactly the opposite? He provided that extra service at considerable risk. Another perhaps could have gone to the manager and accused him of being disrespectful. So, instead, I thanked him for being so chummy & helpful. He probably thought I was referring to the unnecessary help he offered with my business at the bank. Pete

I thought our small lives mattered somehow, otherwise, why are we here? Our opinions help us experience knew things. Without them there would be...well...nothing... (one big yawn ---- if nothing were capable of yawning-- or capable of knowing it were even yawnable stuff) Our whole lives **ARE** it's worship, if " it " COULD worship...therefore, our whole lives are " IT " . And, that in itself is worship, spontaneous worship, and we don't even have to try. much love, I'm going to sleep now. I must take a classroom test tomorrow. ~*~ Donny
