The function of mind is to draw lines around its perception........that is its job.....and it does it beautifully. Any belief about a mountain.....or a river......is an extrapolation on a misconception...... How high is a wave? .....well.........measured for an ocean that is in constant motion......while the wave itself is in constant motion......its really hard to tell.......and by the time you have it......it changes.......... ......a wave is not real.......its only a temporary lump in the ocean ...........the ocean isn't real......it is not separate from all the water on earth..........the earth.......isn't real......its only............. well you get the idea. but its not real either............ and neither are you........... ****************************************** When mind tries to apply its accumulated debris of knowledge to a concept like........free will........ enlightenment....re-incarnation or love....... well...........there's going to be some difficulty......and more then a little confusion....... toombaru Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
