Guest guest
Choice is a mental prison. Choice means conflict. When there is choice there is no true freedom for humanity. The personal 'me' is a choice-making center. That center is a creation of biological inheritance and social conditioning. That center is an illusion of personal control; it is, in fact, a prison for your mind. Human society is a larger version of that center: humanity in conflict with the environment. This global conflict between the environment and humanity is reflected in the center called a separate 'me'. The 'me' is a prison within a larger prison called society. The individual believs that it is his or her choices that make reality unfold in a certain way, but what happens is that these choices are just a reflection of the larger conflict between humanity and society. This conflict is not created by humanity. The conflict is a natural result of evolution. Any individual person can break free from this prison, this fear- based Matrix. True Choice is an effortless, joyful, free and clear total movement where doing and being are one continuum. True Choice is non-mechanical, conflictless and therefore without fear. Free..............your................mind! :-) If you have seen the Matrix movie, then you may recall the scene where Neo broke free from his cocoon and beheld the endless rows of other cocoons containing human beings plugged into the horrible machine-made network. This is a rather good metaphor for the imprisoned human mind. You think 'you' are making choices, but it is the fear-based Matrix in which you find yourself trapped that controls those choices. True Choice is fearless. Oracle: " Candy?... " Neo: " If you already know whether I am going to take it or not, then how can I make a choice? " Oracle: " You didn't come here to make a choice. You have already made it. Now you must understand it. " Neo: " Why? " Oracle: " Because you are the One, Neo. " I may have mixed up these lines a bit, but something like that anyway... /AL

At whatever point the original choice/idea was made/created, it was 'still' made. ~*~ Donny 88888888888888888888888888888888

If one truly had the ability to choose why...on earth.....would they opt for the painful thing? The organism has an aversion to pain.......not painful choices. toombaru

Only choices made from the perspective of the whole are conflictless and therefore painless. /AL

It matters not if we call individual choices illusions or not - they are there, and cannot be thought away as mere chimeras without the whole experience of living going up in smoke. Some say there is free will; some say there is no such thing as free will. But the fact remains: individual choices are being made. Just as we in a lucid dream wake up and see: " Hey, I am dreaming, I can do anything I like in this dream " , so in the waking state there is a difference between fear-based choices and choices made as a recognition of total action. /AL

But the fact remains: individual choices are being made.\\ Some say that you were predestined to have free will.......... All so called choices are fear based....as is the belief that choice exists.
