Guest guest
Maharaj: " Everybody is tying to understand the meaning of all this. You are not understanding because you have all the swaddling clothes of " I am this-or-that. " Remove then. " P:What is Maharaj saying here? He is saying as long as you have an identity, even if that identity is " I am That " all your understanding is a misunderstanding. M: " The ultimate point of view is that there is nothing to understand, so when you try to understand, you are only indulging in acrobatics of the mind. Whatever spiritual things you aspire to know are all happening in the objective world, in the illusion, all your activities, material and spiritual, are in this illusion. All this is happening in the objective world, all is dishonesty, there is no truth in this fraud. " P: Notice that Maharaj acknowleges the existence of the objective and the material, but points out that our knowledge of it, is as illusory, as our knowledge of anything spiritual is. Maharaj concludes: " Whatever you have understood, you are not. Why are you getting lost in concepts? You are not what you know, you are the knower.
