That is the " illusory self " . It is just an appearance. It is not " created " nor " maintained " . Something created exists in some sense. But the " illusory self " does not exist. It was never created. It only appears to be. That is why there is nothing to be done. There is no one to *stop* indulging in illusion. There is nothing to " work on " . There is nothing to see.
