This is to avoid any > upsetting of some Bhaktas.............ONS..Tony. e. ah those bhaktas, can't live with them, can't live without them, i just wrote something to them on Greg's NoPhi, ... there, i'll get it for you (i'll go check you group Tony Ons): " for me i have no conclusions on this matter and nothing to impart to no one, only i'd like to address the detractors of nonduality who say that it denies the need for guru or sadhana. this would be attributing to advaita a conclusion that it does not allow to itself, considering that advaita is it's own detractor, it's worse judge and it's keener critique ... Devotional people take it badly when you attack their faith but 'inquirers of the naked truth' welcome you to critique and question the foundation of their approach because you are just helping them in what they endeavor nonstop. to the question is a master needed? what sadhana should i take on? advaita denies an answer here and questions the question, asks to look into the drive that leads me to ask, to want, the lack, ... the insecurity of loneliness or fear in the face of decay, death, loss of control. In this process, a bhakta (devotional person) is turned back inside at the moment of his external tension to the Lord, his Master, and deprived of a practice that clearly bears a name and a procedure... this is all a matter of naming .. this is why the verb is so liberating, this is why in the human exchange and in the test of words and questions you find catalyzing powers that free you from ties. A matter of naming because the Master that asks for a name and status is suspected of being a master only in that (name, status) and a practice in name because a name bears a procedure, that contains a routine, that puts the best energy to sleep or invests it in more name and prestige. What we are investigating here is the sense of longing, and this desire is well illustrated when your dear ones are out for the weekend and you are alone at home ... there is clearly a branch where you can: either 'sleep on the matter' and let yourself be carried by thoughts of " i feel lonely as a dog " ; or say " why is this longing " , " how deep is it? " " What is the object of a longing " ... And in this same way the need for a teacher or a practice is questioned instead of letting a drive for devotion rush me to the next question: How can i find the BEST teacher/practice? Advaita works at the fork and is not interested in answers, without denying the existence of masters and practices. (i don't think i emitted any opinion in the above nor taught anything, it was all a question) "
