So what has all that knowledge done,

but puff you up? The homunculus is

still there, proud, defensive, resentful,

and unforgiving. And what is this little

fellow? He is the rallying cry, the flag

for the brain, for the body, for the

imagined self. The homunculos is

so powerful because thru him the

brain channels all the energies of

survival. In his name we learn, we

acquire, we own, we defend, we fight.

 

Like a woman who has lost the will

to live, but still lives and fights for

her child, the shadowy brain works

for the self. The self is the personal

flag, for which the brains fights. It

might be now, for you, only a rag

flapping in the gale, but our flag

is still there.

Hoist it down, surrender, sit by the

flag pole, be still, be silent, let the

immensity unfold.
