Guest guest
Limitless being is the only game in town as far as I can see. Limitless being tricks itself into not knowing certain things until it is time for it to know it. Limitless being unfolds as complexity, and that complexity creates larger and larger holons. A holon (a la Ken Wilber) is a whole that contains other wholes/parts. For example: molecules contain atoms, but atoms do not contain molecules. A cell contains molecules, but a molecules do not contain cells. A multi- celled organism contains cells, but a single cell does not contain multi-celled organisms. This is the hierarchical structure of limitless being. Human beings are holons that are parts of a larger holon called the earth (or Gaia). The larger holon Gaia is not born yet. The conflict in this world is a sign of the birth of Gaia, a new form of higher being. The step into a higher holon can only appear when the lower holons/parts start to function as a whole. Today humanity does not function as a whole, but rather in an extreme state of conflict. This conflict is forcing a new higher state of being to evolve, so it is perfectly natural. Everything you see as conflict in this world is an illusion. Adolf Hitler, Marylin Monroe, Elvis Presley have never existed. Bush and Kerry are illusions. The terrosist attack 9/11 is an illusion. You are watching your own birth, so all this mess you see in the form of aging, death, sickness, accidents, wars, poverty, hunger, violence, scarcity, limited resources, limited knowledge, limited technology are all illusions. Or, as Nisaragadatta said " This world is unreal to the core " . Do you believe Nisargadatta died of cancer? Are you kidding. He is limitless being, so why do you think he could get old or sick? Seen from a higher position, this world is a sad joke, but a necessary game. The only game in town. /AL
Guest guest
Recently scientists have been able to send a partilce faster than the speed of light. The impact of this discovery are many. The particle has reached the other end before it has started!!! All the events that we see may have alredy happened much earlier in time!! The concept of time itself gets thrashed. Therefore, the only fact that remains is that everything is an illusion and the only thing that we can be sure about is Nothing!! anders_lindman <anders_lindman wrote: Limitless being is the only game in town as far as I can see. Guest guest
e. a Nisargadatta list might be a good place to give up the folklore and superstitions in relation to spirituality or how to appease the mind; if you speak about the elections today at least it won't look like some eternal truths are expressed about enlightenment and i'll follow you in the debate. Dear friend, P: I went to vote at 9.00 am, the temp. was in the middle sixties, but the sun was bright, and the air radiantly clear for S. Cal. As I went down the hill to the polling place I could admire the distant hills dotted with turning sycamores, and palm trees. In the polling place I noticed the fancy new computers we used in the primary election, and which costed the State so many millions, were gone. In their place were cardboard booths. The guy in charge handed me a paper ballot and a pen. " Where are the computers? " I asked. " We had too many problems with them. " 'So We are voting again like my grandpa did " ? " Not really, after you finish marking your ballot insert it in the scanning machine. It will swollow it, read, and tabulate it. " " Would that be an accurate count? " " Let's hope so. " he said philosophically. Every state has different voting methods spanning a century of voting experiments. Plus I think the number of people voting has double for this election. It could be quite a mess! Light a candle for us poor Americans... in our hour of need. >]
