P: Laugh! I think, if he said that, he was the one who mistook himself

and the situation, thereby depriving himself of a lot of

entertainment. Think of it, If as advaita says there is 'not two',

and as the Buddha said 'he obtained not a thing from unexcelled

enlightenment', what is this life about but passing the time? And

there are only two magazines in doctor death's waiting-room: one is

called suffering, the other is called entertainment. People do

not take 'the not two' and 'nothing to get' truths to their

ultimate merciless consequences.

P: Wait a minute! You should be elated to have discovered that.

That's is really a very important discovery. Stay with it. Watch

how your mind is like a pet always begging, waiting for the next

treat, novelty, high, pleasure, bliss, insight. That stance of

constant expectation is the root of dissatisfaction. That stance

will never be satisfied by anything material or spiritual. But if

the predicament is seen clearly, it might vanish leaving equanimity,

acceptance and openness in its place.
